A wonderful lunch done, gambling called. I'm pretty sure a nap was also in the cards.
I like the NYNY casino, though the drink service is turtle-paced at times. Maybe I like it because the slots were pretty nice to me. No, there were no big wins. But at 20 or 30 cents a spin, I don't expect big money. What I do like is lots of play for my money and I did get that.
Dinner was another nice affair, this time it was one of my MyVegas rewards in the form of dinner for 2 at The Steakhouse at Camelot at Excalibur. I knew it would be an effort for us to hit the $150 mark, so I encouraged Nyssa to order a cocktail or a glass of wine. We started out with the lobster bisque. Very yummy. Bread service was good but we tried not to fill up on it. Nyssa had the Caesar salad, I had the Caprese, both nicely done. I am always annoyed with places that fill your plate with lots of greens, a bit of tomato and cheese and call it Caprese. This was not one of those places. We both went for the filet with a side of mashed to share and some Bernaise. Nyssa did hers with crabmeat (a la Oscar) and I opted for shrimp with mine.
Did we manage to clear our plates? Not even close. We took doggie bags, figuring we'd finish it in a couple hours but never managed it.
We went by the Luxor where I went to the MLife desk and got my free spin for my birthday. $5 freeplay that actually gave me a fair bit of time on a machine.
Another evening of slots, not sure how long we stayed up. We'd had a 8 p.m. dinner reservation, so probably finished there around 10. I think we started at the Luxor and worked our way back to NYNY.
