Shoot me now

Or not. The way I feel, I may well just die quietly on my own sometime soon.

Yes, I went to Texas. And came home. And had a wonderful time, though Nyssa says she'll never travel Greyhound again. And if I felt even moderately better I'd be writing nasty letters to Greyhound.

However, I feel like death warmed over and that's being generous. Came home to 7 straight days of work and got sick my first day off. Have been running a fever since then... that was Tuesday, I think. Some kind of crap cough deep, deep in my chest that made me leave customers at the counter this morning so I could duck into the back room and cough up the lung in peace.

There are wonderful posts about the Texas trip coming. Just not tonight. :)

For now, I think, I will crawl back to the couch and sleep until tomorrow's opening shift. Did I mention I worked a close/open last night and this morning? Am wiped right out and the boss is pissed that all the work didn't get done before the weekend. Sorry, did the best I could. *sigh*

Oh, yeah, we're having another snowstorm, too. Should be another foot of snow when I get up in the morning. And maybe more in the afternoon. About 40 cm all told. Which will put us a mere 50 cm or so from breaking the record of most snow in a recorded winter. Record is 444.1 cm. We were at 355.something earlier this week. There is nowhere left to put the snow from shoveling the driveway. And the city has run out of salt for the roads. If we ever get freezing rain, we're screwed.

Just watched the snowplow skidding on our side street. Oh, joy. Can I go back to Texas?
