Christmas Wish List Meme
I've seen this floating around again, so I figured I'd post it to get into the holiday spirit. If anyone has done it, link me so I can have a look at yours.
The Wishlist Meme/Rules
Make a post (public, friends locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for __ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
* If you wish for real life things (not stories or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
* Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.
*Surf around your friends list (or friends’ friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list.
And now here's the important part:
*If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free do it.
* You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out; it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not it's your call.
*There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish and it might come true. Give and you ight
receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
1. If anyone can get their hands on Christian Kane's issue of Cowgirl Magazine, I'd love to have a copy. It's impossible to find around here. :/ Finally found some! Books-A-Million, if you're in the US and still need one.
2. I'd love to have a Christian/Steve first time fic. It can be happy, or it can be angsty. If angsty, just fix them in the end. I've read pretty much everything out there, and I'm jonesing for a new one.
3. Christian Kane. Just stick a bow on his head and mail him to me. :D I'm not sure if he'll fit in an envelope, though. His arms alone would be like a billion extra stamps.
4. Some kind of Nate/Eliot story. Any kind, really. I just want to see more Nate/Eliot fic out there.
5. Snail mail. It's always fun to open up the mailbox and find a postcard or card. :)
6. Good baked chicken recipes. Nothing with mushrooms, though.
7. A Christian/Steve "everyone finds out about their relationship" story. Happy or angsty works, just fix them if you beat them up. :)
8. Good health. I'm sick of always having some kind of sickness and no health insurance to fix the problem.
9. Recipes for things that are chocolate.
10. Suggestions on how to alleviate insomnia.
11. An Eliot smut fic pairing him with either Tara or Maggie. Plot is nice, but this time, I'm not picky. :-) Although, I have to admit... I'd love to see a believable Eliot/Tara relationship fic.
