30-Day Fic Meme - Day 3
Day 3 - For each of the fandoms from day two, what were your favorite characters to write?
I'm only doing a handful of the ones I've written as it's 4 in the morning, and I need sleep.
Angel the Series - Lindsey by a landslide. He's a complicated mess with unrealized potential, and that makes him an intriguing character to explore. And he's got a distinct and compelling voice. Lorne and Cordelia are runners-up. I'm also becoming interested in playing with Eve a bit. I have a thing for underused characters.
Firefly - Mal, Mal, Mal. I love his voice, I love his backstory, and I love his role within the Firefly universe. Badger is a lot of fun, too, though I've only written him once.
Kane RPS - I like writing both Chris and Steve, but I tend to favor Chris's POV most of the time. In the AUs I'm writing for the big bangs (and other projects), I've discovered that I like working with Beth as a friend for Chris. Her voice is a nice contrast to the other characters.
Leverage - Really, now. Who do you think? Eliot is my favorite to write. He seems to talk the loudest, and I like to listen to what he has to say.
Stargate: Atlantis: Definitely Major Lorne. If I'm going to write SGA, Lorne and his dimples will be lurking somewhere. I've discovered that I also like to write Teyla, though I don't think I've posted any stories yet where she plays a significant role.
Stargate: SG-1 - When I first started writing fic for this bunch, it tended to focus on Daniel. The wind has shifted, though, and I prefer Jack by a landslide. Jack is a little like Eliot. He talks and badgers me until I give in and write him.

12 - Have you ever attempted an "adaptation" fic of a favorite book or movie but set in a different fandom?
13 - Do you prefer canon or fanon when you write? Has writing fanfic for a fandom changed the way you see some or even all of the original source material?
14 - Ratings - how high are you comfortable with going? Have you ever written higher? If you're comfortable with NC-17, have you ever been shocked by finding that the story you're writing is G-rated instead?
15 - Warnings - What do you feel it most important to warn for, and what's the strangest thing you've warned for in a fic?

17 - Titles - Are they the bane of your existence, or the easiest part of the fic? Also, if you do chaptered fic, do you give each chapter a title, or not?
