Here are 25 mini-fics I did for the Buddy Challenge at
stargateland. My task was to write a one-sentence fic for each of 25 prompts. There's no rhyme or reason here, folks. I just dashed off whatever occurred to me. They are a combo of SG-1 and SGA fics.
Shout - When he was standing there at Janet’s funeral, Daniel wanted to shout at the universe to give her back, but all he could do was remain stoic.
Open - Daniel liked to think he kept his emotions to himself, but he was like an open book to Jack.
Future - Sometimes when Sheppard looked at Lorne over the briefing table, he saw the aging General that had helped put him back where he belonged.
Safe - Once SG-1 was safely through the iris, Hammond could finally breathe in relief, if only until their next mission.
Temple - After Jack and the others left Abydos, Daniel sometimes liked to walk down to the temple just to remember.
Hug - During the early days of the team, Jack sometimes pulled Daniel into an embrace, just because he figured the kid needed it.
Animal - Cassie Frasier treasured the dog Jack had brought her when she first came to live on Earth.
Click - After listening to the constant clicking of Rodney’s ballpoint pen, Radek finally snapped and hurled a half-full bottle of water across the room.
Stab - Halfway through Daniel and Carter’s joint presentation on the virtues of dust particles from PT-something-or-other, Jack fleetingly considered stabbing himself through the eye.
Family - Evan hadn’t visited his family in over a year, so when Atlantis touched down in the San Francisco Bay, he immediately called his mother to tell her he was in unexpectedly in town.
Cuddle - After Woolsey accompanied Sheppard’s team on an away mission and discovered that Ronon was a cuddler, things were… awkward for a while.
Harm - Carson often wondered how much harm they were doing to the people of the universe just by tromping around with no regard for those who were already there.
Shock - The team was stunned to discover Teal’c’s secret stash of Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Blocks CDs.
Alley - Some of Ronon’s best nights started in bars and ended in alleys with scuffed up knuckles.
Drink - Every once in a while, John and Rodney liked to have a drink on the pier to remember what they had almost lost.
Pen -Daniel picked up his pen to write a journal entry, but his experiences with the Ori had left him speechless, even on paper.
Happiness - As he stood on the pier, surrounded by his makeshift family, Sheppard felt a rush of genuine joy.
Vows - Sheppard and Ronon vowed silently to each other that they would make it out alive together.
Paper - Lorne fondly gazed the yellow construction paper with a drawing of an airplane and an “I love you, Uncle Evan” messily scrawled in green crayon.
Nightmare - For Sheppard, the recurring nightmare always ended with Todd’s voice telling him he was too late.
Gift - Daniel had never gotten a lot of gifts as a kid, so when Sam bought him a silly little plant for his office at the SGC, he was overcome with emotion that probably seemed disproportionate to everyone else.
Forever - Sometimes Caldwell stood on the bridge of the Daedalus and wondered if space went on forever and ever the way he suspected it did.
Water - Teyla dove into the sea and closed her eyes as the cool water moved down her body like the fingertips of a lover.
Jealousy - Rodney didn’t like to admit it, but he was a little jealous of Sheppard’s hair.
Red - Evan spent half of his vacation on Earth searching for the right color of red paint to capture the city at sunset.
