I haven't done one of these in a while, and I have some new friends on my list, as well as people I don't know well. Plus, I know a lot of you like to click ticky boxes... So old and new friends alike, take a minute and answer this poll.

How can I pick one Mark Sheppard character? It is impossible! I love them all so much! (Although, I've only seen him as Badger one time. But still. He is awesome!)

About the writing question. I can write pretty much anywhere. I actually quite like sitting on a bus and write. But preferably sitting inside at home. And with music, but I can't wear headphones when writing. In fact I find it distracting enough to have my music on the laptop I'm writing on. I would prefer to have a radio or a stereo or anything with the speakers on the other side of the room. I have no idea why this is.

I sometimes resort to headphones to block out the barking dogs of my neighbors. But otherwise, I prefer to have it away from my ears.

The answer to "how do you write"?

Anytime, anywhere, anyhow.

I generally have trouble writing in the dead silence or when people are talking right next to me. White noise and outside are my favorites. Another thing I've noticed is that I like to write in a notebook first.

For me it's totally a mood thing. Sometimes I'll write sitting in a room full of people with the television going. Sometimes I work best with the headphones on.

Sometimes I need the dead silence. It's all very ADD. *g*

That Mark Sheppard question was like the hardest one I've ever had to answer, lol. I'm such a geek.

[and, dang, I don't have my Badger icon on here any more]

I was mean and made the Mark question radio buttons. :D It really is hard to choose.

Yes, that was really mean. At first I skipped the question thinking, "who the heck is Mark Sheppard," lol. Then I went back and read the answers and was like, "OH, that guy...he's like in everything."

And then I couldn't freaking decide which character I liked best!

Obviously I have to check out some more fandoms - even if it is just to get to know Mark Sheppard's characters. That is a big hole in my knowledge.

As for the writing thing: it's a "I don't write" - yet. I might get there, at some point. So far my stories only live in my head. And that works anytime, anywhere ;).

I actually had trouble answering, because I feel like sometimes people - myself included - make "intense fan" and "fandom" the same thing. I'm not really sure where the line between them is drawn?

With Firefly and Buffyverse, I'm kind of on the fence. I occasionally do discuss them on messageboards, and I sometimes read/write fanfic. At the same time, I don't do these things that often.

Whoverse is something I very rarely participate in, but I very much enjoy what I've seen of it - I've seen all of the new series, but very little of the classic series. And I think if I made a point to read a DW or TW fic I'd probably enjoy it.

I would enjoy being more involved in the Firefly and Buffyverse fandoms though, while with Whoverse... meh. With Buffy and Firefly, I just haven't found a community that suits me. With Whoverse... it's a good show but I don't need to pick it apart except for with my LJ friends.

And Werewolves are better than Vampires by far. :P

I generally think of fandom as "I really like and am at least marginally involved in the discussion about and/or reading of fic for the show." So a very liberal interpretation. A lot of times I stick to my flist for fannish discussion. It's safer than wading into the unfamiliar waters of a comm sometimes.
