Music type you find yourself listening to most? Country, folk, classic rock
Last gig/concert you went to? It was a local band that my cousin used to manage. At least I assume she's not managing them anymore. I haven't talked to her in a while. But she's going through the process to become a nun, so I'm guess she's not managing a rock band anymore.
Bands/artists you find yourself listening to the most right now? Christian Kane, Steve Carlson, The Eagles
Can you play a musical instrument? I play a little guitar and a very little piano
Last song that you heard on the radio? It was something by Trace Adkins, but I don't remember what.
What do you think of classical music? I love it.
What do you think of country and bluegrass music? I love both (they are very different genres). I was raised on both, and my uncle used to play fiddle in a bluegrass band that no one has heard of anymore. Fun fact: years ago, when my uncle's band was playing at a festival, their opening act was Vince Gill. :D
Last BIG band/artist that you saw live? It was probably Jimmy Buffet.
Do you listen to music in foreign languages? Yes. I listen to music from all over the world.
What famous musician would you like to “spend the night with”!? WHO DO YOU THINK?!
Worst concert moment? My cousin getting wasted at the Jimmy Buffet concert while her husband and I, responsible saps that we are, stayed relatively sober so we could get everyone home.
Do you listen to the radio? Mostly in the car.
Do you watch music TV? I watch CMT if something is on that I want to see.
Do you follow the music charts, like the top 40? Well, I'm keeping an eye on the Country charts for Christian Kane. But when I was younger, I watched the charts diligently, mostly because I was following the careers of certain artists. I used to subscribe to Billboard.
Are any of your friends/family musicians? Well, like I said, my uncle used to be in a bluegrass band. He actually had the chance to be a session player in Nashville, and he knows some of the old timers. But he had four kids, so he chose stability. And I've had friends over the years who were in bands. I have a couple of cousins who play instruments. Eric used to be in the band his sister used to manage. And Jonathan may be in a band... I don't know. His interests change like the wind.
Do you know the names of all the band members that you listen to? Generally. I was one of those kids who read the liner notes and the band's names and all of the weird stuff that no one pays attention to now.
Does a musician’s physical attractiveness play a role in the music that you listen to? Nope.
What do your parents listen to? When I was a kid, my mom listened to country and bluegrass. Over the years, she started listening to some of the stuff I was listening to (Stevie Nicks, Abba). Now, she also listens to current pop. Imagine me driving down the road with my mom and she's like, "Oh, isn't that Hootie?" D: My dad listened to Latin music, classical guitar, Jimmy Buffet, The Kinks, Dean Martin, Burl Ives, Caribbean steel drums, Flamenco, classical, Pink Floyd. He had me make him a mixed tape with Dean Martin and stuff so he could listen to it in the car. One of the weirder episodes of my younger years.
