Hawaii Five-0 2010 Premiere
Okay, this show was amazing. I'm a longtime fan of the original, and I felt like it was a worthy successor. Alex makes a compelling Steve McGarret, and the rest of the cast just gelled for me last night. I'm exited to see Daniel Dae Kim in a regular series again--I love what they've done with Chin Ho.
The bit with Danny having a kid and they way the related the nickname Danno to that... lovely. I squeed when Alex uttered that signature line.
Plus, THEY KEPT THE THEME MUSIC. It was pretty much the same them, and that thrilled me to pieces. The original theme song is one of the greatest theme songs in history. Don't fuck with the classics.
So yeah. I've got my first new fandom of the season, and I'm already slashing all of the men. There will probably be fic.
