Leverage: The Gone Fishin' Job

So I was pretty vocal about the lack of team in the early episodes of the season. Well, the last two episodes totally made up for that!!! Last week's "The Studio Job" and this week's "The Gone Fishin' Job" had team galore.

So what did I love about this week's episode?

Okay, first of all, we had the team briefing I love so much--a great chance for bickering and foreshadowing and character interaction. This episode, we learned that Nate doesn't give them much of a break in between assignments, and Eliot is griping about that, while icing down a sore shoulder. This was a quick little scene, but it feels like foreshadowing to me. I suspect, and have suspected for a while, that Something Bad will happen to Eliot at some point, and I feel like the writers are laying the groundwork now. So anyway, he's cranky. Cranky enough to rip apart Parker's pinata! Meanwhile, Parker is scarfing the contents of said pinata, thus preparing for the epic sugar high that grips her the entire episode.

We also get loads of Eliot/Hardison interaction. They're great foils for each other. I love that they bicker like brothers, and I love that Hardison is more than a little worried when he sees the job from Eliot's side of the fence. Eliot, meanwhile, was in his element, and I approve! &hearts I especially enjoyed Eliot's little pep talk about fear being better than overconfidence. Also, I dug the quip about Eliot having done the handcuffed-in-the-woods thing before, but it was easier last time, 'cause the guy was already dead. LOL! And nice callback with the Hardison's Paper Rock Scissors tell.

And how much do I love how pensive the team got when they found out "the boys" (ILU, Nate) were in trouble. Of course, the Nate/Eliot shipper in me was working overtime the entire episode. See, this is the Nate I want to see. He cares about his team, because they're his family. And "next time I steal you a train, get on it." LOL! *loves* And I have so much love for Nate in a black knit hat.

So basically, the last two episodes have been epic, and I'm excited about next week!
