Glee, Icon Meme, Fannish Top Fives, Part 2

Glee

I finally got around to watching Glee, and I don't know why I took so long. I was in our school's show and concert choirs, and I did musical theater. I was always going to competitions or special concerts or attending practices or field trips. I related to this show on SO many levels, and I'm very cross that I can't watch another episode of it RIGHT NOW. I predict that I will be obsessed with it in the Fall.

Icon Meme

Okay, time for Ye Olde Icon Meme. I saw that leannelithium did it on her journal, and I haven't done it in a while, so...

Choose 7 of my icons, and I'll respond to your comment, telling you why I have them/why I love them.

Fannish Top Fives, Part 2

Okay, here are the next answers for my Fannish Top Five. I'll post some more answers later this week!

First up, epouvante wanted to know what

In no special order:

1. One of my favorite scene of all time is the opening sequence of LOST, when Jack wakes up in the jungle and stumbles, disoriented into the chaos of his crashed plane. It's one of the finest 10 minutes or so in television history.

2. The first meeting between Kirk and McCoy in the new Star Trek film. The whole thing is seamless, and I still remember the excitement of seeing it for that first time.

3. Spock's death scene in Wrath of Khan. Granted, the fact that he comes back in the next film kind of takes the oomph out of the sacrifice, but it's still beautifully done, and I cry like a baby every time.

4. When Han Solo is about to be lowered into the carbon freeze chamber, and Leia says "I love you," and he responds, "I know." Again, beautifully done, and I cry every time.

5. The Shrieking Shack confrontation in Prisoner of Azkaban (the book version, not the watered down film version). The whole book was leading toward that scene, and it was worth it.

Next, dexterette wanted to know:

In no special order (counting two-parters as one):

1. "The Empty Child"/"The Doctor Dances"

2. "The Unquiet Dead"

3. "Tooth and Claw"

4. "Blink"

5. "Human Nature"/"Family of Blood" (a lot of people run hot and cold with these two episodes, but I think David Tennent was brilliant in them)
