I haz and ouchy (and other news)
Now that I've had a shower, I'm about to start the 7th episode of Blood Ties, and I'm loving it. It's infuriating, really, that so many terrific shows get canceled after one or two seasons: Blood Ties, Firefly, Haunted (with Matthew Fox)... The list goes on. They just don't give shows a chance to build and audience anymore. It doesn't happen overnight. Rather, it happens with word-of-mouth, time, and good promotion by the network. *throws hands in air*
In other news, I think I've figured out how to properly finish one of my stories. It's been driving me crazy, but I realized that I needed to let the protagonist interact with a particular female character in order to bring out his vulnerability and make his reactions later in the story make sense. I didn't get as much work done on it tonight as I had planned, but at least I've got a direction.
I'm having an early dinner with Jonathan on Thursday. He's in town from New York City, and we have a lot of catching up to do. I think I've ruined his planned "two friends catching up over coffee" ambiance by telling him that I think I'll go with frozen lemonade, lol.
In other news, I seem to have done something to my back again. It started really bothering me at work today, and right now, I have a heating pad on it. Epic fail. I had a ton of things to do today, and here I sit with a heating pad on my back.
Ah well.
