How about Criminal Minds, Star Trek, and House?

I don't know if this holds true across the board (or if Noah/Sandra really fits into it. maybe if you tilt your head and squint your eyes a little :P), but the pairings I do know seem to involve characters who are headstrong and intelligent and may have their own agendas or separate goals, so there's some conflict between them, but also mutual respect? Also: hotness. They have hotness in common.

I do love my headstrong characters and conflict, don't I? Wonder what exactly that says about me, lol. I think it would fit Noah and Sandra a bit.

I think they fit the mutual respect/able to work together despite differences aspect, they just do it in a "surprisingly stable relationship" sort of way, rather than a "hey, let's make out" sort of way. xP

I actually wonder what Noah and Sandra were like when they were falling in love. They might well have been the "let's make out" sort at first. We are talking about a woman who made a fake ID to sneak into a rock concert. I'm thinking she was a handful, lol. More than a match for Noah "Morally Grey" Bennet.

All of your ships above seem to be rooted in scifi/fantasty/mythological universes. Also noticed there are also a fair few "buddy" ships - 1, 2, 5, 10 - where there's banter and partnership involved.

I think I tend to like banter between my couples, because it indicates a depth of connection.

I do like the caretakers, don't I? And I've noticed that I tend to favor that character the most out of the couple... Oddly enough (or appropriately enough), I tend to attracted to the risk-takers in my own life.
