I enjoyed Sylar in this episode, but he's become far too powerful, and I don't care for it. First he gains Claire's ability, and now he's a shapeshifter. Meh. I can't connect with overly powerful characters. And moreover, this pretty much signs Nathan's death warrant, doesn't it? He'll die a tragic hero's death, and Sylar will assume his place, and we'll be heading down the road toward the "Five Years Gone" future. Could be brilliant or less than. I'm hoping for the former.
I have a weird fascination with the Danko/Sylar relationship, and there is really no way for me to not see them as hopelessly slashy.
As for the rest of the show, it was a lovey Petrelli-fest. The interactions between parents and their children was lovely. And Nathan made me cry, dammit.
Also, I wanted to say that I love how they've interwoven the music through the episode. Every song worked really well, and none of it came off as cheesy or maudlin.
