Tonight's CSI
Well...
I don't think it's particularly spoilery that Grissom was leaving, since it was plastered all over the bottom of the screen tonight, and since the commercial has been on TV making me get teary-eyed for two weeks.
So we knew he was leaving, but how did the writers do for his goodbye episode?
I liked Grissom's interaction with Nick and Greg. When he told Nick that he was the best student Grissom had ever had, it was a kind of vindication for the craptastic way Grissom treated him in Season 1.
I like Ray a lot.
I was underwhelmed by the Grissom/Sara reunion, because I never really bought them as a couple, and I saw no passion in that creepy kiss. But I'm really too ambivalent about it all to even be angry about it anymore.
Also, this was a really bittersweet episode for me, because CSI was one of my big, epic fandoms. I've made a ton of friends through Nick/Greg fanfic and discussion. But I'm finding that increasingly, the only reason I still tune in is because George Eads is still there, and I like him well enough to put myself through it every week. What happened to this show? It used to be fantastic.
Also, I have a heating pad on my feet, because despite having the heater on, my feet are freezing.
