I taught this morning at one university, and the other one I work for (which is practically spitting distance from this one) is cancelled again. While I'm jazzed to have the night off, it's kind of irritating that the place is closed so often. I’m a writing assistant there, so I get paid by the hour. If we’re closed, I lose money.
And to make matters worse, I think I forgot to fill out my timecard last week, which means I’ll get paid late. It’s a good thing the university where I teach history pays bi-weekly.
Ah well.
Anyway, when I tear out of here, I'm going to get gas, food, and head home. I'm thinking of taking another stab at that Sheppard/Lorne piece I was working on before my computer went 'splodey. I'm telling you, I've been trying to make this a friendship piece, but my muse seems to have other ideas. We'll see how it turns out.
Here's a poll for SGA and Torchwood. Basically, I want to know which characters should get screentime together. I'm drawn to strong character interaction, but a lot of the time, the writers tend to throw the same characters together all the time.
I left out the obvious ones (McShep, Jack/Ianto). On the SGA poll, I pretty much concentrated on the minor characters who don't get much love. On the Torchwood one, I just listed character pairs who don't seem to get much quality time together.
Poll Which two characters should interact more?
