I should have, and meant to, post about this much sooner, but hopefully this is not too late for anyone that might be interested in doing this.

Posted this over on facebook, and I know a lot more people will probably see it there. ConQuest is taking panel submissions for a few more days (until March 1st), so if you're interested in doing a panel or a demo, go throw an application in.

Figments and Filaments is also still taking panel and/or demo submissions, so throw them and application too, if you're interested.

Why should you submit an application for a costuming panel? This is why:

There are so many aspects of costuming that some people don't automatically consider, but would be interested in learning more about if they knew about it. Thrift store rehab, finding and altering things. Corsetmaking - fitting, using commercial patterns vs. drafting your own, using different kinds of materials and supplies based on your costume needs. Prop building, leatherwork, Worbla. Accessories - finding, making, and/or modifying them to fit your needs. Hats and headdresses and wigs - all kinds of things that really complete a costume. If any of that stuff sounds like something you'd like to talk about, or demonstrate how to do something that you know, DO IT. Go submit a panel application!
