Hello readers. So today was my first day working in downtown LA at the Wells Fargo Tower. It was quite an experience. It gives me a chance to finally see what it is like to work in my hometown. I go to work right at sunrise. Birds are chirping and air is crisp and fresh. I take the Metrolink, a public transportation, and when I look around I see different age groups and social classes going to work/school. The train is smooth as an airplane. It gives me time to think about life, my day, and see the world.
I enter through the first floor of the building, get past security with my badge, and go up 43 stories where my desk is. I look out the floor-to-ceiling windows and I see all of LA and our Bank of America neighbors next building over. I went to my desk and starting thinking...what if a plane hit our building?! I don't even know where the emergency exits are!! Oh well, I'll find them tomorrow; do some more exploring.
Working there give me a greater sense of the professional world. Everyone in suits and briefcases. Checking out the hot guys. My day ended with a presentation from our Los Angeles Regional President. I like her. She is very down to earth (and she is downe) and approachable. She gives me an even greater reason why I love this company.
On the way home, I have time to think about today and my future. I love it.
I must say it takes a lot out of me mentally to have to wake up so early. I have to be at work by 7:30. But what can I say? Just like growing up, I have no one to depend on; therefore, failure is not an option.
