Hmm there’s Mary Boleyn, I wonder where HER kids are? Or did they not make the cut of existence on the show? I guess they must not have, since as I remember now in the last epp she said he was impotent, and she didn’t have kids with Henry in this one….so will Stafford sire her kids?

Aww, she’s speaking with Chapuys, reminds me of all their scenes together in Mary, Bloody Mary! (But eww, what an awful hat she’s wearing!) Too bad they didn’t let Mary be present at Elizabeth’s birth and christening as she would have been-more opportunities for maximum angst ignored!

Again, why didn’t we have the scene where Brandon appears to demand Mary’s old christening gown for Elizabeth from Catherine?! Another trufax angst-filled opportunity wasted…really, there was enough angst and drama there, and you just replace it with added crap! *rolleyes*
YES! I’m so glad they for ONCE included Mary being forced to wait on Elizabeth in one of these films, that is one of the angstiest moments of all, and it’s so often ignored-it’s worth all the other omissions! Though poor Mary, Henry is so cruel and harsh here…:(
Mary already knows who you are Lady Margaret Bryant, you were HER governess too when she was a baby! *rolleyes* (Come on Showtime, aren’t you supposed to be all about the angst?! Why do you keep passing it up?!)
Aww, poor Mary! :( Though again, this is just the kind of thing I have been waiting to see dramatized since I read Mary, Bloody Mary and became interested in the Tudor royal family, so I’m thrilled! This is what I MOST wanted to see happen on the show, be included in this season, and it actually is being included! :D

Oh brother, I hate it when they stick these stupid, “oooh, aren’t we clever foreshadowers!” statements in about Elizabeth as a child in films-no one would have been thinking that at the time-or certainly not Henry, who expected to have a son to succeed him! *rolleyes*
I’m afraid Shelton are the ones in charge of Eliz’s household and care at Harfield-not yoru ladies in waiting!

Blech, they have her do her overture to Mary in person so it looks like a nice personal thing, rather than a political one….if they’re going to include that exchange I do hope they include Anne’s threats to poison Mary or marry her off to an undersirable, etc, to be fair and show all sides….

Awww, so sad seeing More say goodbye! :( I hope they give him a full trial scene like in AMFAS…..why didn’t he hug the other kids/grandkids? What about his beloved Meg?

Dude, Cramner is even MORE annoying in this scene! I may need to watch some Bernard Hepton clips to soothe me after this….
And I so wish he had said the line about “when I have gone to hell for not following my conscience, will you keep me company” in response to the “everyone else is doing it!” statement…..but still, I LOVE YOU MORE! Even if this More was not as great as the unparalleled Paul Scoefield (RIP!), the definitive Sir Thomas More!

All in all another EXCELLENT episode-again, this season is SO much better than season 1, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every episode! Especially at seeing some scenes from one of my favorite novels, Mary. Bloody Mary, practically re-enacted here! :D 5/5!
