Epic Incestuous Romances FTW!

Okay I need to take a moment to squee about all the delicious new promo material for the upcoming dramas The Borgias and Camelot, especially regarding the pairings of Lucrezia/Cesare and Arthur/Morgan respectively.

First of all, though we still don't know to what extent their relationship will be romantic, from the clips and pictures and interviews ( Read more... )

Well don't get TOO excited about tv!
Haha jest - you know I do...

I am a bit weirded out by the Ar/Mor in this. Seriously, it's like all the fire of the Eva Green machine pitted against lil' blondie twelve year old over there. Feels a bit weird. At this rate, Mordred is going to be like, a dwarf!

And you can't tell they have chemistry!!! They might, I'll admit, I'll reserve judgement. But seriously, anyone can intensely stare at anyone!

So yeah, not overly promising IMO.

On the other hand, as I don't mean to be whiney // bring down the happiness in da post // disagree with you on everything :P but Lucrezia/Cesare I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO! They're literally electric in the trailer!

And yay for the pics!!! I think I saw that post. It had 'Game of Thrones' on it as well, w/e that is? Phenominally excited, of course.

But mwah haha, Cesare hot?!
Ehh...no. There are way hotter members of Hirst's casts.

Lol, yeah Grindelwald Arthur there does look young, but IDK we see older men and younger women all the time, I say it's about time we have it reversed! ;)

And okay FINE, whatever, on the chemistry, BUT it does still sound overly promising JUST BY THAT QUOTE ALONE--because that quote shows that the authors DO think their relationship is important, and implies that it will receive a decent amount of focus, which is all I want...unlike, on say, Merlin, where after the beginning of season 1 it received pretty much no focus at all, and clearly wasn't important to the writers.

And lol I just found the pics with googling....

And well that's your opinion, I still think he's cute enough, especially with that stubble! :)

Also on a random google search for promo pictures with the intent of seeing some of Gwen (since I just realized she's the same actress in MoA in my icon, but now all growned up), I have not seen ANY promotional pictures of Gwen so far, let alone with Arthur, whereas there are a few with Arthur and Morgan--which also indicates a decent Arthur/Morgana focus in the future...

Yeaaah?

You've lost me? What's Gwen got to do with 'Camelot'? I just googled her, last gig was 'Life is Wild' in 2007 and she has nothing on except Merlin now?

I wasn't disagreeing about the Ar/Mor focus I was just saying that I was somewhat uncomfortable shipping them with the actors cast. My opinion, of course! Just as Cesare not being hot...my opinion - thought I'd voice it!

Oh sorry lol. I thought they were from here. Same pics except with a bit of brightness and contrast! I see that now...

I meant Gwen like GUINEVERE, the character in the legend/show, lol, who will make an appearance on Camelot just like she did on Merlin, being Arthur's queen and all! ;) It's an abbreviation....what I mean is I couldn't find really any promo pictures of her yet!

Okay so you don't feel comfortable shipping them because of the age gap? :s Lol, well I ship Uther/Morgana, so I can't really quibble over an age gap...it'd be pretty hypocritical of me to feel disturbed when the woman is older as opposed to the man! (Plus IRL my mom is 12 years older than my dad).

Well S - O - R - R - Y ! ! !

I was tired. I get confused when I am tired. Plus the abbreviation 'Gwen' is synonymous with Merlin to me. Most of my Arthurian knowledge is literature based and kind of old, well old in terms of my life time, I think my obsession terminated age about thirteen when ppl pointed out those kind of things were just not cool.

I've now seen 'Mists of Avalon'(btw LMFAO Hans Matheson, LMFAO very much) but other than Merlin, that's it. In my head the characters names are ingrained as 'Morgan le Fay' not 'Morgana' even though I must admit I like the name 'Morgana' more and 'Guinevere' not 'Gwen'.

I saw her in the trailer. Kind of annoying the way they portrayed her...methinks. Plus the lack of Lancelot! But w/e...I didn't like Merlin's version much either so I'll live. I found a GIF and some pics of her.

And re Arthur Morgana. It's not really the age gap. It's that she looks awesome and he doesn't. Like, really, no...

Maybe he'll be better when the cameras are rolling...

Like how you think Cesare actor is hot and I really don't. When I saw him in the trailer I was like ':O...aren't you awesome?'

Actually in the Mists of Avalon her name would be abbreviated Gwen because it was spelled like Gwenhyfar, lol, but yeah, it just looks better than Guin to me, so...

And yes, Hans Matheson was very much LOL (esp. at the end in his animal skin thing), although also annoying to me--yet another role in which I can't stand him as an actor....

IDK I still have my hopes up for her because I really liked the actress in MoA...thanks for the gif!

I didn't see it wasn't! I just said that I hadn't seen very much non-Merlin Arthurian Legendy film/t.v stuff and that the old names were stuck in my head.

Are there any roles where you can stand him lol?

Tamsin Egerton?

No, not so far, lol....I found him annoying as Marius in Les Mis as well! :p I remember when I looked him up on imdb after The Tudors and realized I had a larger problem with the actor than just on TT...
