Doctor Who Ficlet
I wrote this very short ficlet for a challenge on bbcland in which we had to write a short story of at least 100 words about a minor character, and I thought I might as well share mine here. I really liked Evelina in "The Fires of Pompeii," and when I was casting about for what to write about her story or plight came to mind...

She was Chosen.
Evelina had known this for some time now, ever since she had first gotten the visions, the unnatural knowledge that came to her unbidden and made her feel so faint and ill.
It did not matter that she would live a strict life of seclusion and chastity with all of her movements and activities restricted, dictated for her, she told herself. It did not matter that she had never known a man, and now never would. It did not matter that her arm appeared to be gradually, painfully turning to stone before her eyes.
She had a Gift. A Destiny. She was Special. It was an honor to be chosen for the Sisterhood…Evelina struggled to remember this as she winced from the growing pain in her arm and weakly wiped the sweat from her brow.
On a related note, I finally got myself a 10/Rose icon, which I'm wearing here, and an 11 icon, since I got more icon space with the paid account renewal as I've mentioned before. :) I'm still deciding what my other 3 new icons will be...
