Thanks to a free marathon promotion on my cable rn, I have spent the last few days marathoning the fantastic Outlander (in honor of Scotland's vote against independence, oop)! It is definitely my new favorite show. I had been hearing great things about it, and wanted to watch it even more once I learned that RDM and Bear McCreary of BSG were ( Read more... )

You see, I fell for a man named Commodore Norrington in 2003. He was played by Jack Davenport in the Pirates of the Caribbean films. Anyway, he was of the Royal Navy so I started to become a RN fan online and they INSISTED that I watch this series, Horatio Hornblower, which I was able to find uncut at my local library. It was absolutely fantastic and I absolutely fell for the man playing Horatio, Ioan Gruffudd. My mom as well.Of course, a comic book geek would have looked forward to a Fantastic Four movie no matter what but with Ioan playing Mr. Fantastic? My mom and I were SO EXCITED!

Not all of Ioan's projects lived up to the hype...like Fantastic Four 2 but all were worth the watch although I still need to find The Secret of Moonacre...which is free on Hulu??? SCORE! I also love King Arthur and Amazing Grace and when I'm in the mood for something cutesy, 102 Dalmatians...in which his love interest turned out to be his future wife.

Heh of course I remember Norrington--who was surprisingly hot in the second film when he was more ~rugged (IMO). I was always more of a J/E fan, but I liked him too in the end. Sadly I don't see HH on Netflix, but perhaps I will check in my library (although I really need to get a DVD player...I only have the drive in my laptop rn).

I saw King Arthur, but didn't really remark on him at the time...I think "Amazing Grace" is where I really recognized him from most when I watched "Ringer."

Scruffington was very hot.

This was so long ago that I actually watched HH on my VHS player. However, it looks like most, if not all, are on Youtube.

Ioan was one of the main selling points for KA for me especially since he played Lancelot and I'm a sucker for guys with long, curly hair...Ioan usually has it so short most of the time.

Amazing Grace is such an under-rated film.
