On the advice of another mom, I went to the local dollar store to peruse Halloween supplies for boys' dress up gear. I scored the following, for $1 each:
fireman - hat, accessory pack (walkie talkie, extinguisher, badge, axe)
knight - breastplate, shield, sword, axe
robot - helmet, chest plate, shield (why robots need shields, I don't know)
pirate - accessory pack (hat, eye patch, hook)
I am so glad I went. Princess dresses are available in every store all year long, but boys' stuff is much harder to come by.
