Last week I actually played the part of the responsible student and made an appointment to speak with my adviser. I'm within sight of graduation, so I decided that now might be a good time to make sure that there weren't any surprises waiting for me which might put off my getting my BA. I found out that I'm right where I thought I was, meaning that after spring semester is over I only need five more classes, two for my major, two for my minor, and one random something just to get me up to 121 credit hours.
I also learned, though, that, because the requirements for majoring in English and the requirements for majoring in History are virtually identical, besides the core classes, that once I've done the work for a minor in history it would only take me three more classes on top of that to do a double major and get degrees in both English and History. So, it would put back graduating a bit, but I think I might consider doing this.
