Hey guys. I was supposed to get home (or, well, get to Cleveland) at 5:40 yesterday afternoon. Guess what? I'm not home yet. Air traffic over Europe is still a little screwy due to the volcano that erupted in Iceland a few weeks back and though my flight from Dresden to Munich was on time, my Munich to Toronto flight was delayed by almost three hours, which ensured that I missed my Toronto to Cleveland flight. And the earliest flight they could rebook me on to leaves at 9:05. And due to reasons which I can't be damned to recall right now, the airlines couldn't be any help in getting anyone put up in a hotel, which is their normal policy, so I've been sitting around in the airport in Toronto for the past eleven hours and I still have another five hours to go. Add to this the fact that my body is still on Germany time and thinks that it's currently 10:00 a.m. and that I've been awake since 4:30 a.m yesterday morning (Germany time), so I'm currently running on... twenty eight and a half hours awake. All in all, however, this, thought horribly draining, is far from the worst thing that could have happened. And all of the friends who I'm traveling with were on the same flights and so had the same delays, so I'm at least not stranded here alone.
But, anyway, I'm sleepy and alive but not yet home. I'll update again sometime after I've gotten home (and had a shower, OMG hot water sounds amazing).
