I think even I'm impressed

This is, quite possibly, the most difficult thing I've ever knit. The stitch patterns were very different from what I'm used to and I ended up ripping it right back to the start more times than I care to remember. There are mistakes, lots of them, but I don't think anyone who hasn't knit this shawl would notice them (and somehow I managed to make symmetrical mistakes, how weird is that?)

The pictures don't accurately reflect the colour. It was called "grape jelly" and it's actually quite a dark burgundy. The flash washed it out and I'll have to get some better ones at some point.

The shawl looked great with the outfit I wore for the awards dinner, really complimented the neckline and totally worked with the shoes (which is what it's all about, isn't it?) I'm really happy with the finished product. :)
