Oh, I have a couple of things with this pairing lurking somewhere in my draft folder...this is great incentive to get them done! I'll see what I can do :D
This love is like a chess game (Mycroft/Moriarty)ilexdarklyDecember 4 2011, 08:30:56 UTC
Posted this to the Sherlock BBC kinkmeme, but I don't think it's going to get filled. Have at it!
Inspired by this lovely GIF set over on tumblr. Don't worry, it's SFW.
After TGG, Mycroft starts systematically destroying Moriarty's network - or at least trying to. Moriarty has a counter for every move he makes. Despite himself, Mycroft enjoys the challenge and becomes intrigued by the man behind the game. Moriarty just likes having another person to screw with.
Somehow, they end up in a twisted, insane, love/hate relationship. Neither one is really sure if the relationship is another part of The Game or something else entirely.
Bonus if Sherlock has no idea any of this is going on.

this is such an excellent prompt. i maaaay possibly fill this, but that doesn't mean others shouldn't give it a try! i want there to be a million fills so i can read them all.
The author of this amazing fic has agreed to let us link it here as a fill for this prompt (though zie didn't write it as a fill, it fits the prompt perfectly). Enjoy!

I second that. All of it.The prompt. Reading marysutherland's 'Blame Jeremy Bentham' and being very grateful for it's existence. *QUALITY!* But also having to read my not inconsiderable weight in fluff afterwards, because if one is not bawling like a child while reading 'BJB', one is clearly emotionally deficient.
Possible spoilers for SCAN: this operates under the assumption that TGG ends with the bomb going off.

London was slumbering deeply by the time Lestrade left the Yard that night, his eyes grown weary from the paperwork and his mood irritable with the lateness of the hour, among other things. It didn’t help matters when he arrived home to find that his locks had been picked - again - and that the door to his flat had been left slightly ajar. It was no accident, he knew. His friend enjoyed this little display of power, and Lestrade allowed him this illusion.
They both knew who actually was in control.
Lestrade shrugged out of his coat just over the threshold of his flat, feeling as though he was also shedding the bitter cold of mid-February, and cast a disdainful eye over the man sprawled in his own customary chair.
“You’re late,” his visitor drawled.
“I was busy cleaning up after you,” Lestrade snapped. “Triple murder on a Friday night; are you trying to do me in

John and Sarah are history as far as romance is concerned, but they're still friends. When Lestrade is badly wounded (perhaps protecting Sherlock or John or both?), John asks Sarah to check up on the DI in hospital every so often, just as John does. Sarah visits the first time as a favour to John, but with each visit she falls for Lestrade, and the feeling seems to be mutual.
Lestrade won't act on it, though, because she's John's ex. John has to step forward and tell him not to be an idiot. ;)

Bonus if Sherlock somehow doesn't figure it out at first and then gets jealous when he does.
Double bonus if John gets a bamf moment or three.
