Chris and I, since realizing how much fun it is to sew while working on the Divine dress, have decided to make alternative-ish stockings to sell at Temple (per Jay... he says he's getting it worked out so that we could have a booth.) The first one we made (and still my favorite, probably not for sale) was this black and white striped one with a curled toe and nummy black fur on the top. It's very Tim Burton-esque and reminiscent of Beetlejuice. I'm proceeding and designing some Temple-inspired things and am extremely excited by the whole prospect.
We're naming our sewing experiment "Red Thread" as it was and still continues to be all over my house from the Divine dress and this particular line of stockings I'm calling "Sick Stockings". I'm going to do a Frank N Furter one with fishnets and a Sleepy Hollow one with Johnny and Christina. Very yums.
