Spooky Rock

Remember that crap on my legs that itched like Jesus and wouldn't go away?  I went to the doctor for the 4th time now for it and they gave me different and stronger meds which I've now taken the entire dosage of.

Katie is coming over tomorrow for steak day.  Last week we decided we just couldn't get enough steak and so I've been marinating some for the past 2 days so that by tomorrow they'll be absolutely falling apart succulent.  She's bringing over bacon wrapped shrimp and liquor and I'm also marinating some steak mushrooms in red wine.  Chainless.

Scout Niblett is playing the Pilot Light October 30th.  No one interesting ever plays the PL anymore.  Peelander Z is playing Tuesday night - If Keri calls and says she's going I'm going to drag Chris along since I haven't seen her in forever.

I'm tired all the time.  I wake up and I'm tired.  It's a sign of the 'betis.

H.P. Lovecraft is good.  Cliche, I know, and very goth but honestly not bad.  I've never really enjoyed blood and gore kinds of novels but these are just horror, filled with dread and unnerving ideas about the universe.  Cthulhu freaks me out.  I've just started At the Mountains of Madness and he has such a way of starting off so slowly you're almost asleep.  The idea of giant things underwater bothers me deeply.  That's why I'm afraid to go in the ocean.

Chris and I went to the Boy Scouts store day before yesterday.  We're going to see Rilo Kiley and the lead singer is a former child star who was in one of our favorite movies, Troupe Beverly Hills.  So we decided to dress like boy scouts to go to the concert.  We gather up all these patches, shirts, scarves, pins, badges, and go to check out.  Lady #1 starts ringing us up, no problem, then lady #2 comes out 2 minutes later and gets hostile saying she's not supposed to sell us anything because we didn't earn the badges.  We told her we were graphic design students at UT and our project was to redesign a piece of Americana for the new millenium.  She didn't care.  We still got the shirts and I think she was just being a bitch and hating on the gays.  I told Cissie at work about it and she called them pretending that her daughter was doing a report on the difference between boy scout badges and girl scout badges and could she come buy some for her?  They said sure, come on down they're 99 cents.  Angry.  I think I may have mom go try to score some for us.

I love the ending to season 4 of Reno 911.  It gave me a boner.   Garcia gives me a boner.  I want to be in a Reno 911 pile-up.  And the cast of CSI can watch and take pictures.

I found the perfect new pair of glasses - they're by Modo and cost 200 bucks just for the frames.  I must have them.  They're retro Elvis Costello-ish but not your standard hipster black rimmed glasses.  They're odd and have a definite style.
