The first clue John gets that Sherlock likes playing dress-up is when, in their fifth week as flatmates, he comes home (for it is home already) to Sherlock wearing surgical scrubs and contemplating a small potted cactus with a disturbing sort of intensity. I think I love this fic already. FANTASTIC opening line.

He’s not gay, but that doesn’t mean he’s entirely straight now, does it? That distinction is important, yes. Glad to see it being put to use in John's case.

Sherlock goes to pick out suitable attire for them both.

THE TANGO! My Gods, their personalities are so freaking spot on, it's scary. And just... ARGH!!! UST is my kryptonite and you are KILLING me here. Just, whoa! The intensity of that scene.

I LOVE your quirky, sarcastic voice when you write. It is so my kind of thing. Just LOVING this fic. *runs off for part two*

:D THE TANGO, YES. Because of the mental images... Ahem. UST is totally my kryptonite too, can't beat a bit of UST. Thank you for all your lovely compliments!

*flail*

I looooove John's voice here, it's absolutely fantastic. Dry and solid, even when he's uncertain. "The two women are laughing and obviously enjoying themselves. John hates them on principle.", "John recalls a time when he begged a deity he didn’t believe in to let him live. Now, he’s not sure why he did. He wouldn’t have had to face this indignity, at least." And dayum, sexual tension out the whazoo.

Thank you! And I think that kind of encapsulates John: dry and solid, even when he's uncertain. So I'm glad that came across!

Your description of Sherlock pulling John into the embrace for the tango, with the words he used to describe it, was dazzlingly erotic. *applauds*

Oh wow, thank you! This was my first proper attempt to write anything with even a little bit of sexuality, so to have that bit called 'dazzlingly erotic' is amazing. Thanks!
