Duke Hotness strikes again as I play in Photoshop once more--this time to make some real art.

By the way, I do NOT have a drawing tablet. All of this was done with a trackpad on my Macbook laptop, using a drawing I did in pencil/permanent pen and uploaded. The rest of this was painting by hand. TRACKPAD.

It all started out with a drawing I did last night:

Which I hated, so I took it to Photoshop to redraw his hair. And his eyes. ARGH.

But then I started to color it. And redraw it. And paint and...

The awkward in-between phase...BAHAHAHA XD

And I kept going because it's freakin' addictive...

I actually worked from TWO paintings for this. I eyedropped the colors from the painting to get the right hues, but painted the actual colors on myself. I had to work on that HAIR, goodness...I LOVE HIS HAIR OMG. *RUFFLES*

and Duke's eyes, because they're pretty and I love the way they turned out:

Methinks I got a pretty close likeness to the original :D!! It's a lot harder than it looks. Duke's uniform looks different because it's from a different painting. So we come to what we have to far:

Time for bed, but I thought I'd share the work in progress ;)

art, history nerd alert, the ex-art major strikes again!, history, duke hotness, photoshop
