Ha, oops, I'm one of those MTT "this isn't fluff" people.

The thing that isn't fluffy about it is the end. When I think "fluff" I think cute, sweet, happy endings. The last paragraph of this is at best bittersweet, and at worst a little bit depressing. But whatever, fluff is over-rated anyway ;)

You still wrote a really good (at least semi) happy Jim/Karen sexy-time fic, and for that I commend you :)

Ha ha ha! It's okay. I wasn't too upset. ;)

It's weird though because sometimes when I write, stuff just starts happening and I'm like, "Oh.. wait... no, we're doing that now?" And that's kind of how this was. I gave Jim the box to take to the car and then we was like "OMG ILU!" and HE WASN'T SUPPOSED TO DO THAT!!!

Like sometimes when I'm writing something... like, hypothetically, Jim/Karen fluff? Just fun without the sexy time? (Totally hypthetical) and then all of sudden Karen's making some innuendo and they end up naked on her bed? And then I have to send broken__records a message saying "listen, it turned into smut. Sry. Also, there's angst." admit defeat.

You know, like... hypothetically.

This was fantastic, as usual. One of my favorite parts was the bit in parentheses that just felt like, "Oh by the way, Jim is awesome in the bedroom." Just great. I think that Jim possibly loving Karen is what kept them together for so long, or maybe that's just what I'd like to think. I know other theories must be out there, but this one is the most comforting. Jim/Karen fic might be just the cure to this long summer.
