Looking for a hurt/comfort epic with Sherlock the one being whumped. Emotional whump is also a good thing thought physical whump is a must. No easy solve endings please. Sherlock/John pairing please, it's cool if it happens over the course of the fic as opposed to before the fic starts. I dislike immensely those internal monologues where character will claim to love another character and 'knows that he'll never love me'. So if you could refrain from that then you'd rock. I really loved how they did the reveal that Sherlock was gay in the first ep and if you can tie in that scene all the better.

Good luck!!!

There's this new show on the BBC about the titular official Mycroft, and his travails dealing with a mad-genius brother who trots about hunting criminals. Can he smooth the way with the coppers? Can he keep the family peace? At least Mycroft's not alone: his able assistants and agents--Anthea, Lestrade, John--report to him and help him with the thankless job of managing his younger brother.

(Could be the 3 episodes of Sherlock inverted so that the cases are peripheral and Mycroft is front-and center, or something else--up to the author.)

(I have no idea if the first post of the plot has already been used in a crime book/show but it seems like the sort of thing that might)

Sherlock/John, A serial killer is basing his murders around fairlytales, after Sherlock starts investigating/comes close to finding the killer John is kidnapped by the killer who plans to make him their next victim.

Sherlock has been presumed dead for three years.
Sherlock believes that John:
1) Knows Sherlock is actually alive and is patiently waiting for his return.
2) John has been living a rather happy life and be overjoyed, and not at all angry, to learn that Sherlock is living.

However, John does not know Sherlock is living. His guilt is overwhelming. He is living hand to mouth and i terrible health. Sherlock, not knowing this, surprises John in some elaborate way. Upon seeing Sherlock, John belives he is--yet again --hallucinating. John runs off and shoots himself. He misses, but is gravely injured.
Sherlock is stunned by Johns actions. During John's months long recovery(in which sherlock helps) both Sherlock and John work through their anger and guilt to finally discover how much they love each other.

(And when I will drown in angst I'm gonna so regret it. But I can still give them a very happy ending right?! Because I totally will. :P)

Inspired by this analysis of Sherlock Holmes' father.

Prompt: Sherlock and Mycroft's father was a terribly formidable criminal who had disappeared early on in their young lives. His influence is why Mycroft works for the government -he sees it as making up for the things their father did- and why Holmes is so insightful at solving crimes.

One day, the Holmes patriarch shows up at the flat and tries to convince Sherlock to join him. It almost works, except part of Mr. Holmes' plan is to get rid of Watson.
