I love the fact that the prompts are so frickin' diverse! It's _not_ all 'x topping y' or 'p, q, and r shagging in improbable location z'. There's so many great fanon tropes that have started on here - Anderson's love of dinosaurs being my favourite! And as a writer, that diversity is really inspiring. I've had a lot of fun taking a couple of the more outlandish prompts and working out how to make them work in this fandom. And one of the best things about writing S (probably one reason why the character is so popular) is that you can make just about anything work - his lack of concern for other people's views is very liberating. I haven't yet written the adventures of John's BAMF! moustache but I firmly believe that it _could_ be written - and it would be awesome.
I know it can annoy some people, but I like the fact the fic isn't all dark, there isn't such a high proportion of rape fics as on other kinkmemes, and the community is normally pretty respectful of each other. We all have our own particular gripes, but there is very little actual trolling and when there is, people normally deal with it respectfully.
I also love the fact that so many of the prompts read like a little one-line story in themselves. This isn't so true of the super-long prompts but there are many prompts which so perfectly encapsulate an idea in a couple of sentences so that even without expansion, it makes me laugh, or flail or just admire the prompter.
And, above all, there's some seriously wonderful fiction - strange, gorgeous, brilliant writing, often by anonymous contributors to whom I feel a profound sense of gratitude.
In short? I love you all, and _especially_ the mods for creating such an exceptional creative space.
