Apparently the sheet scene takes place even before he meets Irene. It's unrelated, but does lead to embarrassing public nudity for Sherlock. Oh dear~

Of course, I'm just talking. I didn't see the preview, just saying what I've heard from other sources and published articles.

Ironically that scene/picture involved a stressed Mycroft. HE'S WATCHING.

Normally I'm not for public nudity, but in Sherlock's case, I think it's awesome. I have no idea the excuse for it, though.

As for the sheet, I have no idea why he's out and about in only that (I somehow think Mycroft is involved)

Why he LOSES it, according to some articles Mycroft is angry that Sherlock won't cooperate with an important case, and steps on the sheet as Sherlock tries to walk off. Therefore stripping him of his only covering :Q

Mycroft says "herefore lanearsh" trying to say 'therefore, lame ass' huh? That's not very nice >:U
