Trojan Horse - Sherlock & Moriarty body swap

While John is out of town, Moriarty and Sherlock have a confrontation and somehow wind up swapping bodies. Moriarty sees it as an opportunity and orders Sherlock held captive. He plans to use Sherlock's identity to infiltrate both Scotland Yard and the British government, creating a catastrophic security breach. He's able to fool the Yarders easily enough, and as soon as he gets a feel for the adversarial relationship Sherlock has with Mycroft he's able to fool him well enough too

ANON, ARE YOU MY BRAIN-TWIN? Just a few days ago I had something exactly like this in mind and I was pondering whether to write it myself or post it here as a prompt after the freeze! Oh anon, I love how we think alike! *_*
Well, it wasn't exactly like your prompt, I pictured Sherlock in Moriarty's body out and about and trying to convince everyone that no, he's not a psycho consulting criminal thankyouverymuch although he really really looks like him and maybe spook John for a moment or two...
ANYWAY. I might try this. Might being the key word (because I don't believe much in my ~*~writing skillz~*~ but despite that I have a few other prompts I'm trying to anon-fill). But in the meanwhile I'll SECOND THIS HARD

The thing that got me thinking about wanting a fic with John recognizing Jim in Sherlock's body was the thought that as of the end of The Great Game, John and Sherlock are the only two good guys (that we are aware of anyway) who have now actually met Moriarty, have seen how he carries himself, his mannerisms, heard him talk, witnessed his true personality, and gotten a glimpse of how his demented little mind works. It's an oddly intimate sort of bond, the knowledge of "wow, we're the only two people who have seen this guy in action and really get just how nuts and dangerous he is".

Just checking to see if you're still working on this. Cuz I'd LOVE to read it, or take a stab at it if it's still open. (Either way, really. Just feel like it needs to be written RIGHT NOW.) XD

OP is ridiculously happy to have two people considering taking this on. Multiple fills are love in my humble opinion and I would be very, very pleased to see both!

Potential filler, go ahead! I had problems with my laptop and rl is currently eating up my free time; I will probably get back to this prompt sooner or later, but I'm certainly not going to stop anybody who whould like to take a stab at it! Multiple fills are always welcomed! :D
