It's Monday again, so here's your request/bunny post for the week.
Don't forget, for those of you working with the Sherlock cast's other characters for non-Sherlock fanworks, we now have the Six-Degrees post to share works, recs and the like.
I desperately want to see a different kind of post-Reichenbach fic...
Reichenbach Fall Spoilers: All of the post-Reichenbach John fics I've read basically just focus on him being miserable, which is great, I loves me some angst. However, I've been really stuck on the idea of John being more active, albeit obsessive in his grief. I want to see a fic where John is convinced that Sherlock faked his own death and that there's something he missed, so he locks himself up in Baker Street and goes over every detail of their last day trying to figure out how he did it. I want him to be as obsessed with figuring out how Sherlock did it as we all are! I see John plastering the walls in notes, with those red lines connecting things as he tries to piece together the puzzle, all so that when Sherlock inevitably does return John can impress him with his own deduction skills.
Other little tid-bits that can (should?) be included: - John becoming more and more like Sherlock, i.e. talking to himself, smoking, becoming manic when he's got a scent and depressed when he's lost it. - John becoming frustrated and tearing all his work off the walls, then sighing, making himself a cuppa tea, and putting it all back up again.
Anyone who can create this for me gets to keep my skull when I die!
I like the 'John becoming more and more like Sherlock' bit. I've actually got a fic on the brain that I could work this into, though if it indeed is born, it will be very dark. I must plan...
