Looking for a specific Apocalypse AU fic
Hello! (This is my first time on LiveJournal--am I doing this right?)
I'm looking for a fic I read a long time ago and have since lost. It was either very long or a series.
I don't remember much of the plot, but I think it started out with Sherlock, Mycroft, and John heading for a safe bunker because of a disease decimating the population. However, something stops them--I think Mycroft said John wasn't allowed in the bunker because he's not important enough? John and Sherlock run away, and Mycroft wants to catch them to keep Sherlock safe.
A big time skip, then John and Sherlock are holed up in an abandoned house and Sherlock catches the disease. He's partitioned in a room alone with plastic covering the doorway. Sherlock gets very ill and John, thinking he's dead, goes in to check and finds him alive! Apparently Sherlock's cells are regenerating faster than the disease. (We find out later that this means Sherlock is now immortal!)
My memory is really hazy at this point, but I think Mycroft finds them and brings them to the bunker, then puts them into induced comas or something?
I remember it ends with both John and Sherlock immortal, living together on a farm in a society that's starting from scratch.
