(no subject)
I hope someone recognises this snippet from a John sickfic. I know I've read it several times, yet I can't find it in my bookmarks. Sherlock comes home to discover an ill and shivering John on the sofa, naked apart from one of his (Sherlock's) thin silk dressing gowns. An exasperated Sherlock says something like: "I was only gone an hour, how can you be so sick?" John admits that he's been feeling ill for a while but didn't spot the signs. Sherlock muttering, "I thought you were a doctor," goes upstairs to fetch socks, pyjamas and a duvet, as John replies that he was always more interested in the dramatic stuff - like explosions.
Sherlock returns and telling John that it will be all over in a minute, he makes his protesting roommate stand up, strips off the snot-covered silk gown and re-dresses the shivering doctor in the warm night-clothes and socks before bundling him back onto the couch under the duvet. He sees that the doctor is still shivering so he thinks for a minute then goes and gets his coat and drapes it over John as well. Immediately the doctor snuggles into it and soon drifts off to sleep.
That's it. That's all I remember. I hope there's more too it, but who knows? I've searched through all the John sickfic links I can find, but no joy so far. I'm hoping one of you wonderful people will come to the rescue!
