specific fic search, blind!John

I'm afraid it's not a very christmasy search, but bear with me :)
I'm looking for a specific fic that was being searched for in this community a while ago but was never found. Hope I'm not breaking any rules by asking again.
In the story, John was blinded (poisoned by Moriarty) and it had a scene in which Sherlock told him how useless he is and John attempted suicide. Here's the original post with the description http://sherlock-search.livejournal.com/197684.html
I already used all search possibilities I could think of (on AO3, tumblr, via rec-lists, tags and google), none of which got me anywhere, yet the idea of the fic just keeps haunting me for months, so I hope someone will be able to help.
