My favorite couple -- I was hoping someone would tackle them. I love how you've presented Lestrade's fears and reservations with his attraction. Greg not shaking "talking to the dead" or seeing Sherlock as a ghost is nicely chilling, too.

I like Sherlock's foreshadowing of the Magnussen complications to come. Greg smelling smoke in Sherlock's hair. The coffee simile. The very idea of Sherlock watching businessman porn on his laptop, bored, bored, bored, in a hotel room (or in some safe house bedroom finagled by Mycroft--) hah.

I hope it was as much fun to play with as it is to read!

I love your Sherlock/Lestrade fics!

Tbh, the first remix I wrote was a semi-crackfic for 'If At First...' where Lestrade discovers that Sherlock considers their first meeting, the blowjob behind the chip shop, a 'meet cute' story and he tells anyone who asks all about it.

Wow, that was a lot more sad than I was expecting, for everyone.

Good job.

Oh my god, Sherlock. Yes raise his hopes and then go all HLV on him, why don't you? :)

This fits perfectly as a sequel to the remixed work. The tone is a sobered-up, stabilized version of the other tone; I like it.

Lovely! I like how wary they are with each other; the desire is real, but it's clear they're not fully in sync and they don't show each other everything.

This is such an interesting, complex relationship. Obviously, they've kept people in the dark about them and I loved Lestrade's regret at the beginning, how he views Sherlock's return as a miracle, and then how that miracle and the glow of it fades in when reality hits. I especially liked the line about how it was easier to fuck Sherlock than to talk to him. And then the foreboding ending. Well done!
