People were asking what program I use for my drawings and I just use gimp which is like photo shop but a little less crap and it doesn't cost anything. So first I draw the line art on paper and do scrappy shading:
and then I take a photo on webcam which makes it look like that ^^^^^ and I would use my scanner but... I can't be bothered~ :) a scanner would be better because it wouldn't mess up the proportions but whatever.
Now I go on gimp and do the lines:
and I don't like doing the background completely white I don't like it.
and after that I fill in the colours, I don't do harsh colours like black and white, colours like bright yellow and blue will be corrected later ~<3
Around the eyes and on the nose and cheekbones I do some pink and blur out the edges. I looks really harsh and makes him look ill at the moment but i'll correct it later.
Now I use water colour brushes in black over the top and set the layer to overlay. If you want the brushes I can link you to them if you like.
and now it's practically finished :) but I don't like the harsh colours so I get a new layer and set it to saturation to turn it black and white and I put it opacity down so it's not totally black and white.
And that's it :)
