Awh! Both amusing and slightly saddening. It's almost as though Holmes is so desperate for company that he resorts to mice in his home!

Lovely though! Basil's much too smart of a mouse to get caught in any normal trap. He'd find a way out. :D

You know that this is bizarre, eh? ;o)

Very smoothly written, and I was amused... up to the point at which I realized that, in order not to get emotionally involved, Holmes would do quite a lot of nasty things to the ones he likes. Oh my. Well, this story sweeps it all up in a nutshell.

Flopsy for dinner, really. *lol*

Anyway, if your insomnia and/or bad dreams make you write such lovely stories, they are at least good for something. ;o)

don't think Holmes loves the mouse, although I think when it finally gets caught in the trap I think secretly he'll be a little bit upset *grin*.

normally I torture Holmes but he's currently curled up in a ball, protecting his delicates, whimpering in the corner. I think he's had enough for now *pets*.

Glad you liked it :-)

this is amusing and introspective.:)
love the ending way so delicate.
near to the end there appeared to be a slash hint, slightly, behind the veil...delicous.
the title completely fooled me,never thought he's gonna be a Miky!XD
then there's holmes's teasing of naming randomly him cought by watson as if he'd been a long companion...
the a li'l past as to Flopy thing, everythng's plain and radom there,i confess i read it twice be4 something's coming to me:it is a kinda love to life.
the whole story's full of warmth and fragrant, not mention holmes's intellect humor contrasted by watson's constancy, there.
love it so much!vague things just work for me.XD

A mouse seems to be a more likely pet for Holmes (more so than the rabbit, lol). Excellent work!~Sophia

Gee, what sorts of things did Holmes do before Watson? Alone too long, indeed.

This is wonderfully cute. Basil and Flopsy. Sweet.

Minor heads up: eyes clothes closed.

I think before Watson came along Holmes would name the buzzy things that flew into his room. Holmes strikes me as the person that would name pets with unbelievably cute names in a sort of "dare-you-to-ask" way *grin*.

Oops! Thanks for the heads up *fixes* I suppose that's what you get for writing it at silly-o'clock and not checking close enough afterwards.
