Bargains galore!
I think it was sometime in 2005 (I know I'd moved... I think) I went to see the excellent 'Night Watch' at the cinema. Anyway, I was walking past HMV this afternoon and decided to pop in and get a copy 'cos you know, by now it's probably in their £5 range. I found the film, as part of their 3 for £20 range... so I looked at the back to see what the solo price was... and bizarrely it was £20. So it was either I buy the film for £20 or I do the 3 for £20... no question really.
Whilst having a look I came across a box-set of Merchant Ivory classics ('The Remains of the Day', 'The White Country' & 'Howards End') as part of the offer... on looking at the back you could buy it solo for £30! What on earth is going on with HMV???? So I got: Special Edition of Night Watch, Special Edition of Kes and The Merchant Ivory box-set all for £20!
