Ah, I totally agree that the unlimited is totally worth it. I use to have a similar limit, and I'd usually be ten times over it by the end of the month. It's nice to have peace of mind too, knowing that no matter what you download, etc, you'll still be under your limit with unlimited. :D *sounds like a damn commercial..*
Also, there is no way not to sound like a complete cock on those things. XD I was taught in my careers class that you need to be willing to bring forward what makes you amazing and talented, and if you seem uncertain even in the application, there's just that less of a chance of getting the job.
I really hated careers class though, and have forgotten most things about it. XD
I think I'll change my plan next month. Originally I went with the cheap option not really thinking that I would need any more and then I discovered that watching my favourite episodes of things online is much easier than trying to make your VCR record.
Oh well, I suppose sounding a bit like a cock on your Royal Opera House application isn't really a bad thing *grin*
(Owie, I got orange peel under my thumb nail and it feels like there's something sharp digging into me :-()
I work for the power company. Usually, when they present you with a high bill, it's to get your attention due to a chronic access problem. The thing about meter readers is that they knock, and wait a few SECONDS and then move on. They have so many meters to read, the don't always have time to wait for someone to come to the door. Ask your landlord to provide your meter reader with a key so that he can have access to the meter. Then ask the power company to put you on their mailing list so that you get a post card a few days before your reading so that you can make sure the meter is accessible.
If you have more questions, you know where to find me...
I didn't realise I could get advanced notice of when the meter reader is coming! Thanks :-D, I'll get onto that so at least someone can be in to let the guy in. I don't think they'll provide a key to the meter reader as it's actually in my downstairs neighbours flat and I think they'd be a bit iffy about that.
If there are constant access problems and the company hasn't been providing the electricity company with the readings, why don't the electricity company contact you? This has (apparently) been going on 2yrs and is why I have now have to pay them £400.
Usually (and I can only speak for my company) the power company would contact you about a chronic access problem. Usually they leave a note, or send you a nasty letter.
Did they finally get a meter reading? O was this an estimate? If they did get an actual reading, then they went back and averaged your bills for the time they didn't bill you, and now it's time to pay the piper. Nothing you can do about it, really, except ask for a payment arrangement.
In the future, I'd call and give them the readings from the meter. That way, you won't be hit with a big bill again. And if you don't get a bill, pay one anyway.
The first time I knew about a access problem was when a bill for £458 arrived without any explanation and I had to ring them. They weren't very helpful and I ended up just agreeing and arranging payment plan. Then I called the energywatch people who investigated and made powergen explain in a letter why they had sent me such a huge bill
( ... )
The list owner is in the forces, but she's still around and checks in every now and then - I'm taking over from Trinity who can't dedicate much time to the list any more because of work.
For now I'm fine I think. I think the plan is for 21st July is to suspend posting for 48hrs so that there's no major risk of spoilers on the group straight away.

And oh dear. I hate oranges as well (especially the seeds!) and the smell of the skin is horrible too. I think I'm fussy. XD
