Stupid lungs

Having a minor holiday fail. Went to see 'The Ladykillers' yesterday, it's a fun show - not brilliant but fun. Afterwards I hung out with my old boss and got to have a nosy about on the set (and find out how they some the AWESOME stage tricks! Seriously, there's some amazing old school tricks) The cast are all lovely (apparently, I'm relying on second hand info because I didn't see any cast backstage) which makes me very happy since Peter Capaldi and James Fleet are two of my favourite comic actors :D (they were both very good, James Fleet has to do a fall from a height backwards on a tiny mat in the dark. The guy is nearly 60!)

During the show there was a woman behind me with a very dry sounding cough, by the time I got home I'd developed an annoying dry cough. Then I was up most of the night hacking my lungs up. I hate coughs, I sleep badly at the best of times. So it was a going to Bristol fail (hopefully spacefall can forgive me! I promise to come visit in the New Year).

Tomorrow I'm going to see a late screening of the new Sherlock Holmes film (enjoyed the first one, hoping the second one at least has some fun set pieces) and then I'm going to the Really Useful Group xmas do (I've had to stop myself calling it the RUG Party, you get some really funny looks amongst non-theatre folk). Normally I'd avoid a party like the plague but I've been working my therapist on my social skills and she thinks this is the perfect opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and put all the things we've talked about into practice.

I've also got re-addicted to Fallout.
