So far, good week :)
On Sunday I got my RSPCA call, they're happy for me to rehome two piggies called Rain and Henry (pending home visit). Then I booked my ticket to see 'Star Trek' at the IMAX, on Monday I walked through Leicester Square and watched some of the set up for the Trek premiere, then I headed off to work where my sole job was to sit around in case the board cover needed help. Last week I made my first steps into the world of automation when I was offered the chance to observe the 'Mamma Mia' stage checks, hopefully going back to sit with the operator for a matinee but in the meantime I'm heading over to Jersey Boys' for a matinee automation watch.
Today I was at Whitelight (big hire company) doing an 'Introduction to Moving Lights' training day and tomorrow I'm back again for 'Moving Light Maintenance'... and it's quite nice as I've got the evenings off. One of the people on the course today is someone working over at the Phoenix (or as I like to call it - hell); ATG are getting rid of the position of Chargehand or replacing the individual Chargehands with a joint person... anyway, they were for the new Harry Potter film in the alleyway by the theatre so it was one of the few times it didn't stink of piss!
I have played far too much 'Sims' (one of my Sims maxed out all their skills whilst still a child, which has confused and amazed me. Yay for glitches!) and very much addicted to 'Half Life 2'... I will make the leap into 'Portal' at some point but until then I'm happy throwing crates around in HL2.
