So, I went the mall today. The store wasn’t very big, but the salesgirl decided to talk very loudly so I heard the entire conversation between her and some customers.

She keep going on about how she was born in America, but was Anti-American (I really wanted to go over and ask her if she knew she was in America because she went on about it for about 5 minutes). Also, she rambled on about how Australia was fantastic and she was going to move there when she had enough money.

I put the stuff I was thinking of buying down and walked out of the store when she started on about Tumblr.

Not liking the country you were born in isn't an issue. Lots of people feel that way. Those who are able usually emigrate. What's your problem?

Pfft, anon, was that the first time you met an anti-American American? I just had to console a friend who was in crying because her visa will end soon and she has to go back to the US.

It's not exactly uncommon for people to dislike the place they were born into. Many move out or try to. Why did it bother you?

While I'm not American, I'd be pretty annoyed if my salesperson was loudly going on and on about how much the country we're in sucks when surrounded by people who are native and like their homeland.

Depending on her "I'm moving to Australia" comments, it could easily be annoying if she's the kind who declares they're moving to Aus/Canada/The UK/etc because it "better" when all they know about the country is fetishised nonsense (the enchanted england tumblr for example)
