Hmmm well I really should have updated from the first day I was here so that I could document my holiday... but meh, i'm lazy, what can I say :P
Well ok I'm (obviously) in America atm on Holiday.
It all started at 5am at Jarryds house on New Year's Eve :) Basically seeing as I KNEW that if I fell asleep I'd never get up I just didn't go to sleep. So at 5am a very tired me got on the airbus (which might I add turned up with no mom on it giving me quite a shock till i realised she was on a DIFFERENT airbus that we were meeting at the Edamoga Pub *phew*) so yeah. Met up with mom and slept all the way to the airport.
Boarded our first leg of the flight on China Airlines. Was supprised to find that China Airlines is actually a really really nice Airline (little screens in every seat, helpful staff and GOOD food). So the flight WOULD have been pleasent had it not been for the fact that I was really sick. I had a horribly runny nose which proceeded to get all chapped and gross (still is) and all my skin dried out. Also could hardly taste a thing and had a sort-of headache. The worst part however came halfway through the flight when I developed... HIVES! Yes that's right, due to the stress and discomphert of being sick on a LONG (8 hour) flight I developed hives. Which for anyone who hasn't ever had them, ITCHES LIKE A FUCKING BITCH!!! So the rest of the flight was a blurr of attempted sleep, scratching, nose blowing and movie watching. I slept for like 3 hours which was good. And the rest of hte time I just kind of rested and moped.
Then we got to our stopover which was suprisingly in CHINA! Yep that's right we stopped in Taipei! Now from my experience of China in the past (which was NOT good) I was not expecting what awaited me... it was the most BEAUTIFUL airport I'd ever seen! It looked like the lobby of a hotel. The floor were actually SHINY! The best part tho was it was totally EMPTY. Like not a SOUL around. We found the free internet caffee and went in there for a bit then decided to shop a bit and finally decided to get some sleep. We found some lovely couches in this special "quiet" area where there were a few other people sleeping and we rested for awhile. Then we went back about an hour before our flight to wait in the boarding lounge. Oh I almost forgot - at the start when it was all deserted, we found these really cool luggage trollies which were like SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO easy to push (and they were shiney)! they seriously like GLIDED across the floors so mom pushed me around in it up and down the abandoned walkways. Twas great fun.
Ok then we boarded the next flight (the 11 hour one) to LA and it went much to the same extent as the first flight only with a little more sleep.
FINALLY we arived in LA, where it was now nightime, and our body clocks were like WTF. We went home and met my cousins and had a lovely dinner n stuff then SLEPT (my first time in a propper bed in like 36 hours *ahhh heaven*).
Next day I slept in till late and then when I woke up we bummed around for a bit before going out shopping. I bought the postsecret book and then we went and saw Brokeback Mountain and ate at some place called FatBurger (yes, that's the real name) lol.
Next day I slept all day then I was made to get up because there was a "party" that night. I was not very intersted in it and spent most of the time on the comp cause I didn't really feel like socialising as I was still really tired.
Then thismorning we woke up early again at 5am (after only like 2 hours sleep) and went to the airport to fly to Florida. We went from LA to Texas then changed planes from Texas to Tampa(which is in Florida). The only eventful thing from this trip was when mom swatted some guy with her newspaper and yelled at him "I hope your enjoying your leg room cause the old lady behind you doesn't have any" after he repeatedly (even after being told the the air hostess not to) putting his chair into the recline position. And he was int he front row so he had extra leg room anyway. And the poor old lady next to us was sick and was being squished by him. haha it was so cool cause he like put it strait up and looked at mom like "omg scary lady" hehe.
AND that brings us to now... which is Florida at my Gramma's house.
It is SO boring. She doesn't have TV and since florida is full of old people there will be NOTHING for me to do. PLUS she's on dialup... :S
I actually started KNITTING a scarf I'm that bored... I can feel myself shrivling up and getting old already... yuck
Well I'll TRY and keep this thing up-to-date, but don't blame me if I don't.
Also in other news - I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET PIXIE!!! w0000t (so wish i was staying with u longer - stupid boring florida!)
Well Peace Out All,
-Shez
