quietness

Haven't posted much 'cause there isn't much to post about. The biggest thing that's happened recently concerns my online game time in the MMORPG EVE Online. The corporation that recruited me two months ago has seen fit to promote me to Head of Mining Operations. This excites me and scares the bejeezus out of me as well. Suddenly, I am responsible for setting up mining missions (the lifeblood of the corp) and getting people from all across the world to show up at the same time and do their things...in dangerous environments (pirates and such). I am also the default Corporate Psychoanalyst, it seems. This is just fine, but doesn't exactly make for "FUN" playtime (although leveling up in my numerous skills satisfies the ana retentive list-making part of my personality just fine...).

Fighting a cold...sneezing a lot (I rarely sneeze) and just overall achey. I don't want to be here at work...I want to be sleeping. Bleh.

Getting back to my Twilight Zone thought processes. This show (first aired in 1959) is simply brilliant and I would like to write stories half as good (or better). Got some ideas percolating. We shall see.

Congrats to Terri Osborne on her writing contract. Looks like Stargate: Atlantis gets her expert touch. Way to go, Terri!!! Also congrats to Marcy Rockwell on her two-book contract with Wizards of the Coast and their Eberron line!! Finally, here's hoping a couple other good friends get contracts for books. They deserve the opportunity to continue writing in this amazing world and I hope they get that chance soon!

What I am watching: Twilight Zone Season One
What I am reading: Outbound Flight by Timothy Zahn
