Hey!
I just turned 16,and I'm in grade 11 at the moment, but I'm absolutely determined to get into the Animation Program. It's my dream.
From my understanding, the requirements for the portfolio are:
I.Lifedrawing
1.Observational-human figure
2.Animals
3.Hands
II.Animation and character design
4.Character turnarounds
5.Action pose sheet
6.Expression sheet
III.Storyboarding -
7.the character and the box [do they give you a character to use?]
IV.Layout
8.household objects
9.room line drawings
10.Personal Artwork-5 pieces of your personal artwork-no digital media
To those of you who got in,can anyone give me any specific pointers on what they're really looking for?
Someone a while back mentioned composition and structure, and a few people I've talked to said they put a big emphasis on gesture and movement.
Does it matter if they're colored with photoshop or just pencil drawings?
How many pieces did you have in your portfolio? And how was your portfolio set up? I was thinking those leather bound binders with the plastic sheets,[so far,all the portfolios I've seen had that...] but I'm not sure if there are specific requirements.
Thank you so much for your time. :)
